We spoke to the motion capture division of Bandai Namco Studios Inc. about the background to their introduction of the SyncVV professional video and audio recording system and its effect on the production floor. Beyond improving reference footage quality with 1080@60p four-channel simultaneous recording per unit, the deciding factor was SyncVV’s ability to use timecode to match the IN and OUT frames perfectly across every channel — essential on a motion capture stage where multiple angles are reviewed side by side.
